Politics & Public Relations
Brian’s political endeavors began in sixth grade when he served as president of his elementary school. Feeling a profound sense to speak up for those silenced, pushed aside, or overlooked, which has been his guiding principles, Brian understands that political messaging requires the aid of a good public relations team.
Public relations in politics has changed greatly. Agencies have changed composition, consolidated, and become more professional, with improved messaging that maximizes social media and digital impact. This in turn has led to a more specialized skill set that many older public relations professionals have failed to develop, the ultimate example being Donald J. Trump’s use of social media and hiring of Cambridge Analytica to defeat the more popular Hillary Clinton in the presidential election.
Creating a consistent brand is essential in the world of politics today. Brian takes a practical and human approach to his messaging and branding work, paying close attention to the data to make the most informed decisions.
